If you're searching for GTA 6 cheats Xbox One, you're likely gearing up for launch and want to know exactly how cheat codes will work on your console once the game drops. This guide covers everything currently known about how Rockstar has historically handled cheats on Xbox hardware, what to expect for GTA 6 on Xbox One specifically, and how to get verified codes the moment they're discovered.
Since GTA 6 has not yet been released, no official cheat codes exist for it today — anyone claiming to have a working "GTA 6 cheat code list" right now is guessing or scamming. What we can do is walk through Rockstar's established cheat system from GTA V (which ran on Xbox One), explain how that system is expected to carry over, and show you how to be first in line for real codes without digging through spammy forums.
This page is part of a broader Xbox cheats cluster — if you're on Series X|S instead of Xbox One, or want the full multi-platform code list, check the related guides linked throughout this cluster.

How Cheat Codes Work on Xbox One (The Rockstar System)
Rockstar has used a consistent cheat system across the GTA series on Xbox consoles, and it's the best predictor of how GTA 6 cheats on Xbox One will function.
Method 1: Controller Button Combinations
In GTA V on Xbox One, cheats were entered live during gameplay using specific sequences of face buttons, bumpers, triggers, and D-pad directions — no menu, no pause required. For example, the GTA V "give weapons" cheat was Y, RB, RB, Left, RB, LB, RT, LB, LB, LB. These sequences had to be entered within a few seconds of each other, and a small confirmation text appeared on-screen if successful.
Method 2: In-Game Phone Dial
Later Rockstar titles also supported entering cheats as phone numbers dialed on the character's in-game cellphone. In GTA V, effects like the Skyfall cheat — which drops your character from the sky with a parachute already deployed — could be triggered this way by dialing a 1-999 number on the in-game phone. This method is friendlier on Xbox One because it avoids needing to memorize fast button sequences.
Given Rockstar's pattern across GTA IV, V, and remastered ports, GTA 6 will almost certainly support at least one of these input methods on Xbox One — plausibly both, similar to the input options seen in the Definitive Edition trilogy.
GTA V Reference Table (Legacy Xbox One Codes)
While these are not GTA 6 codes, they illustrate exactly the format, length, and style of cheat you should expect to see on Xbox One when GTA 6 launches. Use this table to familiarize yourself with the input pattern.
| Effect | GTA V Xbox One Button Combo | GTA V Phone Number |
|---|---|---|
| Invincibility | Right, X, Right, Left, Right, RB, Right, Left, X, Y | 1-999-724-654-5537 |
| Give Weapons | Y, RB, RB, Left, RB, LB, RT, LB, LB, LB | 1-999-8624-7867 |
| Max Health & Armor | RB, X, Right, Left, RB, Right, X, Down, X, LB | 1-999-462-7638 |
| Fast Run | LB, LB, X, RB, LT, RT, Left, Left | 1-999-228-8463 |
| Spawn Flying Vehicle | Y, Y, X, RB, RB, RB, LB, RB, LB, LB | 1-999-359-2837 |
| Slow Motion | X, Left, RB, LB, LT, RT, RT, LB | 1-999-756-9663 |
Bookmark this format. GTA 6's Xbox One codes will likely use a similar 8–10 input button-combo length or a comparable 7-digit phone number pattern once discovered.
What to Expect for GTA 6 Cheats on Xbox One
A few reasonable expectations based on Rockstar's track record and public statements about GTA 6:
- No confirmed cheat menu at launch. Rockstar has occasionally delayed or limited cheats in the opening weeks of a GTA release to protect the initial story experience, then patched them in or enabled them via updates.
- Story mode only. Cheats have never been usable in GTA Online, and there is no indication this changes for GTA 6.
- Platform parity. Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 typically get the same cheat codes with different button layouts (Xbox uses A/B/X/Y and LB/RB/LT/RT; PlayStation uses matching face buttons and L1/R1/L2/R2).
- Possible achievement/trophy lockout. In GTA V, using cheats disabled Xbox achievements for that game session — expect a similar restriction in GTA 6, though Rockstar has not confirmed this for the new title.

How to Enter Cheats on Xbox One Once GTA 6 Launches
Follow this process the moment official codes are confirmed:
Step 1: Load into Story Mode
Cheats only work in single-player story mode. Make sure you're not in GTA Online before attempting any code.
Step 2: Choose Your Input Method
- For button-combo cheats, pausing gameplay is not required — enter the sequence during free-roam gameplay using your Xbox One controller's face buttons and triggers.
- For phone-dial cheats, open your character's in-game cellphone (usually via the D-pad), go to the dialer, and enter the number exactly as listed, including the 1-999 prefix.
Step 3: Confirm Activation
A short on-screen message or sound cue typically confirms the cheat activated. If nothing happens, the code was likely entered too slowly or is outdated for the current game version.
Step 4: Save Beforehand
Cheats can affect mission scripting and vehicle spawns unpredictably. Always save your game before activating a cheat you haven't used before, in case it disrupts an active mission.
Common Mistakes and Troubleshooting
Using PS5 codes on Xbox One. Button-combo cheats are console-specific — a PlayStation code using Circle/Square/Triangle won't translate directly to Xbox One's A/B/X/Y layout without the correct conversion. Always use codes labeled specifically for Xbox.
Entering codes too slowly. Rockstar's cheat system requires each input in the sequence to register within a tight window, typically under a couple of seconds between presses. If you pause between inputs, the game resets the input buffer and you'll need to start over.
Trying cheats in GTA Online. Cheat codes have never worked in online multiplayer modes across any GTA title. If a code isn't responding, confirm you're in story mode first.
Relying on unverified "leaked" codes before launch. Because GTA 6 hasn't released, any code circulating online right now is either fabricated or copy-pasted from GTA V. Wait for confirmed, patch-tested codes rather than testing random strings that could crash your save.
Forgetting achievement lockout. If trophy/achievement progress matters to you, avoid using cheats on a save file you're actively completing challenges on — start a separate save instead.
FAQ
Are there real GTA 6 cheat codes for Xbox One yet? No. GTA 6 has not been released, so no verified cheat codes exist yet for any platform, including Xbox One. Codes will be confirmed only after the game launches and the community/data-mining verifies them against an official patch.
Will GTA 6 cheats work the same way as GTA V on Xbox One? Most likely yes, based on Rockstar's consistent approach — expect controller button-combo entry and/or in-game phone dialing, matching the pattern used since GTA IV. This is an expectation based on precedent, not a confirmed feature.
Can I use GTA 6 Xbox Series X cheats on my Xbox One? If Rockstar issues identical codes across Xbox platforms (as it did with GTA V across Xbox 360 and Xbox One), the same codes should work. However, always confirm the code is labeled compatible with Xbox One specifically before assuming cross-compatibility.
Do cheat codes disable achievements on Xbox One? In GTA V, activating any cheat disabled achievement unlocks for that play session. Expect GTA 6 to carry over a similar restriction, so use a separate save file if you're achievement hunting.
Where can I get GTA 6 cheat codes for Xbox One as soon as they're discovered? The fastest reliable route is a dedicated reference tool that updates automatically rather than checking scattered forum threads.
Conclusion
GTA 6 cheat codes for Xbox One don't exist yet — but when Rockstar's cheat system goes live, it will almost certainly follow a similar button-combo and phone-dial format to GTA V, and you'll want verified codes the moment they're confirmed, not days later buried in a forum thread. Pre-register now so the full, organized Xbox One cheat list lands automatically in your hands the moment it's available.
